Location
The 2008 International Submerged Lands Management Conference will be held at the Northwestern Michigan College Hagerty Center. The Hagerty Center is a premier waterfront venue for lifelong learning in Traverse City, Michigan-providing state-of-the-art conferencing facilities for local, regional, national and international groups.

Directions
From the South

  • Take US-131 North through Manton.
  • Take M-113 west toward Kingsley.
  • Turn right (north) at the blinker light in Kingsley.
  • Take Garfield Rd. north to Traverse City (approximately 15 miles).
  • Turn left at the corner of Front St. and Garfield Rd. (There is a Burger King on the left, and Barden's Ice Cream on the corner to the right.)
  • Head west about two blocks to the next traffic light, and turn right into the Hagerty Center parking area.
From the North
  • Take US-31 south to Traverse City. The Hagerty Center is about six miles beyond the point where US-31 turns right from south to west and heads across the base of East Traverse Bay.
  • Just past the Best Western Motel (right-hand side) is the entrance to the main campus of Northwestern Michigan College.
  • Continue past the college entrance, and through the next traffic light that intersects with Garfield Road.
  • At the next traffic light, turn right into the Hagerty Center parking area.
From the East or Southeast
  • Take I-75 north to Grayling.
  • Take M-72 west through Kalkaska to Acme (approximately 25 miles).
  • Turn left (south) at the light in Acme on US-31, and head south towards Traverse City. The Hagerty Center is about six miles beyond the point where US-31 turns right from south to west and heads across the base of East Traverse Bay.
  • Just past the Best Western Motel (right-hand side) is the entrance to the main campus of Northwestern Michigan College.
  • Continue past the college entrance, and through the next traffic light that intersects with Garfield Road.
  • At the next traffic light, turn right into the Hagerty Center parking area.
